     It’s a mimic of European football where there are both domestic and international tournaments within the season.

     @vincents9620 You should read the comments of Adam Silver who cited Euro Cups as the inspiration, down to the pool play and the medals the players receive at the end before you go responding, “wRoNg” 🤣

     @vincents9620 NCAA doesn’t do this “all the time”. They do it once a year, in March and it’s a massive tournament. There is no pool play, like in some Euro football tournaments. There is, however, pool play in the NBA Cup. Just take the L and do your research next time before responding, champ.
