he trash on defence because of his height. the fact that trae young is even in the nba at his height and weight is absolutely ridiculous. I would even go as far to say that he has a below average (for men in general) body you could go to your local gym right now and find someone more athletic. It all skill and practice not the genetic lottery.

Never understood how someone so athletic can be so bad on 1 on 1 defense. I get how you can be a bad team defender becuase theres more IQ to that but 1 on 1 defense is 90% effort

Defense takes alot of focus and patience… on offense u can act and react to ppl issuing your athleticism… but defense is a blend of doing and not doing both… you react to a pump fake you get blown by, react to a jab get crossed, react to a hesi same… can’t really use your athleticism at all times on defense

@umlbp yes but athleticism does help make up for those lapses which is effort. Athleticism allows people to play up closer becuase youre able to move your feet quicker.
