I legit hate modern day sports media. No one just enjoys the current moment. The team is so young, They not even in the same chapter as the great teams…Pull your heads in!

This studio looks so much worse. Canโ€™t really explain why. Maybe too dark? Design and colorways are just weird to me, idk. Probs overthinking it maybe itโ€™s more how good the last studio was lol

Just because they are young doesnโ€™t mean anything.. they arenโ€™t beating the great teams SAS named. They arenโ€™t beating any of those 5 teams. In a 7 game series Idgaf

They had an all time great regular season. The advanced stats put them in the same league as the 1996 Bulls, the 1997 Bulls, and the 2016 Warriors. Their net rating, which pretty much establishes how effective and efficient you are on both sides of the ball, was 2nd all time to the 1996 Bulls, who are at least a top 3 team all time, and won only 4 more games than this Thunder team did. This is easily the best team weโ€™ve seen since the 73-9 Warriors at minimum so you have to respect that much, and theyโ€™re probably better since they actually won the championship.

Now where I understand the hesitation and the argument against is their play dropped off in the playoffs. They bullied Memphis, but they struggled against Denver, barely got through that series, they had some questionable moments in the Minnesota series, and the Pacers gave them a tough fight up until Haliburton tore his Achilles. Their net rating was still good, it was right on par with the 2023 Nuggets, 2024 Celtics, and 1989 Pistons, who all won the Finals. So it wasnโ€™t terrible. But most of those numbers came from beating the snot out of the Grizzlies. So I think their youth showed a lot during these playoffs and they still won a championship so I think they have a lot more room to grow and get better and be even more dominant.
