This is why mentality, your state of mind, is the most important variable as a basketball player. You can be skilled, you can be naturally gifted and athletic, but if you don’t work every single day on the basic fundamental principles of the game then you won’t be prepared mentally for moments like these. When you go even harder in practice the actual game ends up feeling easy.

Its crazy watching Brunson hoop( offensively) , knowing now that skill coaches are teaching/drilling these movements and fundamentals.
The drills are cool and all , but when I see Brunson hoop , I see someone/ a style that comes from playing Basketball. Playing 2 on 2s, 3 on 3s , 4 on 4s , and 5 on 5’s. I feel good watching Brunson hoop because he is showcasing what the game has been missing the past 10 years; natural instincts.
Im 35 , and loved hoop/played hoop my whole life. It’s hard riding by the parks now and seeing them empty , because I know that the youth now are missing out on developing natural instincts for the game. Brunson has a natural feel for the game, and you can get that by learning fundamentals first , then by just playing with many other people as you go. Peace yall.
