Also you can’t hop with the ball in your hand. First you dribble and then while the ball still isn’t in your hand you hop. In the case shown in the video it is just up and down. If you could jump with the hand on the ball and then continue your dribble every big in nba would use that with their size advantage. Jumping with the hand on the ball and hopping w/o is 2 different things.

Not sure why there is so much debate about this. Nobody calling a carry in 1-on-1. Second, this hasn’t been considered a carry, even on NBA level, for atleast 20 yrs. I remember Iverson, Tim Hardaway, white Chocolate getting called for carrying, but this is now a legal move whether you agree or not. Hell, at one point, dunking the ball was considered an illegal move. The game changes, evolves. Either way… just a game

Carrying the ball is just allowed now in today’s basketball. Back when I was in high school in the 80s, carrying was called automatically. We were forced to dribble the ball right. Now, anything goes.
