So many people have no idea what the rules on the pivot foot are. In every level of basketball, you can lift your pivot foot as long as you shoot or pass before that same pivot foot hits the floor again.

So many people dont know the rules around lifting your pivot foot. You can lift your pivot foot as long as you shoot or pass before it comes back down. Learn the rules before spouting bullshit.

I think they’re talking about right after he gets past the following line he stops and goes he he had the ball up that’s like a car. I’m not talking about under the room where he turned he laid it up. I’m saying where he skipped. He stopped for a minute look when he picks the ball up. It can go either way, but I mean, I don’t think a ref would call that. I think everything’s good.

Look at some of these dudes that do them step back three and stuff that is actually a travel. I see it in the NBA. I see it everywhere. I see Carrie palm in the ball. They don’t call that no more I see Dude a foot away from the three-point lineback up all the way to the three-point line without dribbling and then shoot and then turn around and walk the other way because it goes in the restaurant drugs cause that’s a travel all day.

I’m so tired of the “step through”. Wasn’t even a thing until the 2000’s. When done correctly its an up and under. You don’t get to pick up your dribble and then take a whole nother step with your pivot foot.
