Well heโ€™ll never beat jokic in the mvp race jokic averages a triple double

Stats alone don’t win MVPs dude, Russ averaged a triple double FOUR times and only won once. Look at last season, Luka averaged a near 34 point triple double, And lost to Jokic who was averaging less points and assists. Luka had a much better statline, But Jokic won MVP because his stats were still good AND he led Denver to tie with OKC for the best record in the west. This season, Jokic is in the same position Luka was last year, He’s got the best numbers in the league, But Shai still has amazing numbers AND he’s led OKC to being far and away the best in his conference. Unless Denver can catch up, Shai checks all the boxes when it comes to MVP.
