So some of the LeBron hate is eye rolling but it is an interesting discussion to have as to why and how certain players perform differently when he and/or AD aren’t on the floor. Anyone notice the difference in DLo compared to when AD went and after he came back? The same reason he plays so much better and more confidently with no LeBron and AD is because he sees himself as the focal point and isn’t looking to defer… he’s looking to make plays when he’s in that mindset. When LeBron is on the court a lot of these guys have a different to him and AD mindset and style of play. Guys like Reaves and Knect still prosper when the big dogs are on the floor because their great shooting style of game fits perfectly with those two. Tbh I think Reddick should consider having DLo run the second unit and sub in groups rather than one or two guys rotating at a time. Maybe start Bron, Reaves, Knect, Rui, and AD and then allow DLo to run the show for a few minutes each half with the leftovers. The only obvious concern with that idea is that there’s almost no perimeter defense with that starting lineup. You could maybe get away with it having a 30 year old LeBron but at this point in his career he’s not near the same defender he used to be. That’ll put a lot of pressure and workload on AD at the defensive end…he would essentially be in a similar situation to Myles Turner with the Pacers. Idk what do you guys think the rotations should look like?
