Notice both teams in the finals are home grown teams. Drafted well, hired great coaches, and nurtured their players into the stars they are today playing team ball. The BIG 3 era is over. Every team trying to force blockbuster trades and players forcing their way to other teams, is killing the league and not even successful. Make a balanced team, hang your hat on defense, and you will have success.

Yeah I’m glad super teams didn’t last long! Well drafted, well coached teams should always be the league standard!

ya if we cherry pick any year we can say “HoMe GrOwn” Meanwhile we had Phoenix, Lakers, Toronto, Heat, Cavs, KD Warriors in the finals the last clump of years.

lol you see how long it takes for teams like that to win ? Bron took that celtics team out multiple years , dont act like they just got to finals in 2 years..

@gringoboy701 every star on the warriors are from the draft. Even Poole, Moody Kuminga, Looney

I totally agree every word that being spoken from SAS’s mouth. Golden State Warriors (organization) is the standard in today’s NBA! No.1 by a mile! The Golden State Warriors, from top to bottom, first class, all the way, every organization should want be them. Period!

Both teams are homegrown talent with some smart personal move, like the Wiggins trade, Boston bringing back Al and trading for White.

Warriors would be the better storyline because it would boost curry’s legacy while simultaneously erasing kd’s legacy

I love steph but he comes up small in the finals. He needs to show up and show out these finals

    • Dee M

      May 31, 2022 at 2:38 pm

He doesn’t need to do anything outside of helping his team win more championships! You people kill me with this narrative that steph needs to be the Lebron of his team NO he does well letting everybody eat

    • Big Chungus

      May 31, 2022 at 6:06 pm

He averages over 25 5 5 in his career in the finals

    • Watt Pad

      May 31, 2022 at 11:28 pm

You only look at stat sheets. Only reason his other teammates come up big during final is bc the other team will not lose to Steph. Not lose to warrior. Just Steph. Their entire defensive scheme is to stop Steph from exploding. They rather have KD does his 1v1 or Iggy scoring in the paints. But Steph must not score a 3 or it will be over. Watch the triple and double team lol yer casual

I’m worried that I have been agreeing with Stephen A a lot lately. Praying for the Warriors.

When you have appeared in 6 of the last 8 NBA Finals from the tougher conference, a championship core composed of your draft picks, turns non-lottery picks into stars, an incredible winning culture, and ownership that fully supports your activities, you are the standard franchise in the NBA. Plain and simple.

The GSW missed the playoffs in back to back years while paying the repeater tax. Any other team would be bankrupt after that. It’s worth pointing out that they have the largest salary. That’s not possible for most teams. Boston they robbed Brooklyn for those picks and made them count. Philadelphia would look nice with Tatum. If only.

    Warriors have given KD everything:
    – opportunity to win more NBA titles
    – offered a hundred million dollar contract
    – hall of fame teammates in the peak of their powers .. including a back-to-back MVP that took a backseat for him
    – a top 15 coach of all time who lets him play ISO from time to time
    – great GM that finds diamonds deep in the draft
    – owners who has no issues paying luxury tax
    – veteran teammates and unselfish team mates who supported him after the media made him as the NBA’s number 1 villain.

But left because he didn’t receive the same adoration as Steph who has been with the Warriors since they were down in the dumps .. poor KD , I cry
