Problem with the dunk contest is you have dudes trying to be to creative.
When some of the best dunks are the simple ones that guys take off far away from the rim,
Slam it with power, combined with a little creativity.
And body movements in air.
When Nique and MJ dueled check out the power of the dunks.
Lavine and Gordon also had a lot of power in there dunks with freak athleticism.

Worst thing about the dunk contest is nowadays it’s full of nobodies you’ve never heard of. Turns the whole thing into a joke. Might as well be watching random mofos on youtube dunk at that point.

It’s time for a change! These pass years we’ve seem a significant decrease in athleticism, tricks, originality in the Dunk Contest. It’s overhyped and overrated at this point. 🙄 I do understand why players are being safe but that’s more reason to change things up. I wouldn’t use NBA players for the Dunk Contest but outside/street basketball players or College players that never made the League or wish to. 🤔 🤷♂️

I’m old af, and that was, by far, the worst slam dunk contest I’ve seen… ever. They MISSED more dunks than they made. Spud Webb was slamming one handed, 360 dunks at 5’7″… Grade: Lame.

They have to start giving incentives to the winners or something because the dunk contest has become a joke these last few years.
Back in the day stars joined the dunk contest now it’s either rookies or guys that have nothing better to do with their weekend

Why not have the NBA All-star game here for free or over the air tv channel 5 or 9 like back in the 90s I used to watch the NBA All-star game all the time over the air tv and I used to record it I still have my vhs tapes from 1993 up to the end of 1998 mint condition now is not like back then you need to pay for everything even to watch tv smh
