The Phoenix Suns defeated the Denver Nuggets, 122-105, in Game 1 of this best-of-seven series. Chris Paul led the way for Phoenix with 21 PTS, 6 REB and 11 AST, while Mikal Bridges (5 REB, 5 AST, 2 STL) led the Suns with 23 PTS. Additionally for the Suns Devin Booker (21 PTS, 4 REB, 8 AST) and DeAndre Ayton (20 PTS, 10 REB) combined for 41 PTS. Nikola Jokic totaled 22 PTS and 9 REB for the Nuggets.

    booker got better team mates this season (crowder and cp3) ^_^ damn! i wish phoenix cud win this champs. and i also like jazz and clippers; but if nets can’t win champs they were more shameful as they were all have talents in them.

James Harden recorded his 78th career-triple double with 25 points (3 3PM), 10 rebounds, 13 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks while Ivica Zubac finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds for LA in the losing effort. The Suns improve to 4-1 on the season, while the Clippers fall to 2-3.
