The Phoenix Suns defeated the Denver Nuggets, 122-105, in Game 1 of this best-of-seven series. Chris Paul led the way for Phoenix with 21 PTS, 6 REB and 11 AST, while Mikal Bridges (5 REB, 5 AST, 2 STL) led the Suns with 23 PTS. Additionally for the Suns Devin Booker (21 PTS, 4 REB, 8 AST) and DeAndre Ayton (20 PTS, 10 REB) combined for 41 PTS. Nikola Jokic totaled 22 PTS and 9 REB for the Nuggets.

booker got better team mates this season (crowder and cp3) ^_^ damn! i wish phoenix cud win this champs. and i also like jazz and clippers; but if nets can’t win champs they were more shameful as they were all have talents in them.

Wendell Carter Jr. contributed a team-high 28 points to go with 6 rebounds 3 assists and 2 three pointers, with Desmond Bane of the Magic adding an additional 27 points (8-13 FG, 3-5 3P) and 5 assists in the game. Cooper Flagg finished with a team-high 51 points along with 6 rebounds for the Mavericks in the losing effort. The Magic improve their record to 41-36 with the win, while the Mavericks fall to 24-53 for the season.
