   I blame this all star thing totally on the players … I blame Adam silver for the 48-% dropped ratings since he took over as commissioner… dude is scared of the players and that’s the problem.. David stern would never allow the players to run the league like they do.. this is what happens when you let the inmates run the asylum

   Dunk contest only sucks cause the format and prep for it sucks. Plenty of players that have hops. They don’t even have to be big stars. Ofc, you can find great dunkers off the street and even get pro dunkers but that’s not the point. It’s the NBA dunk contest, not a dunk contest. Also NBA players are focused on ballin not fancy dunkin. The all star game will come down to the players themselves.

   The NBA is joke of a league these days and the players are at fault. They don’t care about the integrity of the game anymore. This entire generation of players are an absolute joke. Have not watched a complete game in the last couple of seasons because I get tired of multiple possessions by both teams missing 5 or 6 three point shots in a row, makes the game boring to watch. They had to make an in season tournament and now changing the All Star game format because these players don’t care about competition.

    2 potential fixes for the all star game.

    1) winning conference gets an extra week off before the playoffs.
    2) winning conference gets homecourt advantage

    It’s a all star game it literally does nothing for the players it’s strictly for the fans it’s supposed to be a vacation that’s why they be off for like a week it’s funny because the only thing yall complaining about is the defense then if someone get hurt for a exhibition then what yall gna say

    I can’t be the only one to figure out that maybe the players are wise enough to know that the ASG-weekened is really about “entertainment” and not “competition.” Why risk an injury halfway thru a season your team is still pursuing a playoff spot in, to a star player???

    Money ruins everything. Players want more money, they’ve got to play more games. They’ve got to play more games, players get injured. Players get injured, teams worry about their investment because they are paying them silly money. Players then complain about playing too many games because they get pressure from the front office and want to protect themselves for the next big contract where they will ask for even more money.

    Good for adam silver making a change. Unfortunately his only solution is once again to pay players off like with the NBA cup, players who already geht 60 million a year playing a game and flying private.

    I don’t think the nba players get it, the all star game is a dream for the fans u can actually see ur favorite players team up that’s from the east and from the west and expect it to be a great game but lately it’s been one sided and just a show off contest no defense no effort at all

    A smith is wrong – Slam dunk contest is not about ” competing” it’s about practice & technique. NBA players do not spend their time learning fancy dunks. OF course you can find ballers in the street who can dunk better.
