Journalist : Hello Victor, at this stage of the season, after everything you’ve been through in the playoffs and the physical demands, do you think the excitement alone will be enough to sustain you physically ? Or do you feel that at this point in the season, it’s starting to take its toll ?
Victor : It was definitely a tough series, but i keep my fingers cross, no injuries, and I hope it stays that way. But at this point, I feel like I can handle this series and the next one.
Journalist : Three years ago, when the Spurs drafted you, you said that deep down, you knew you were going to become a Spur player. Did you also feel that destiny would take you to the Finals at such a young age ? And you had this very interesting point last summer, saying that the challenges you’ve faced have accelerated things…
Victor : Of course, yes, I felt it like any dream, I want to say, but you feel so many things during a season and during a playoff series that you don’t even have time to sit down and have those thoughts and the realization that we were in the NBA Finals and that we had just won the Conference Finals, all of that hit me in five seconds, in the last five seconds of the fourth quarter of Game Seven, so it’s also a real challenge to manage all these emotions, it’s huge.
Dude. Same but the other way around. I’m from San Antonio, love the Spurs but I love these Brunson led Knicks. They are the coolest dudes on the East. I wouldn’t mind the guys from Villanova getting their chip together this year. May the best team win. Go Spurs Go!!!
Yeah like for some reason it seems normal and the fact that he is the youngest player to be the clear leader of a finals team is not really talked about enough

Victor Wembanyama : It was definitely a tough series, but knock on wood. No injuries so far, and hopefully it stays that way. At this point, though, I feel like I could play this series and another one after it.

I always appreciate when ppl do that. To me, it indicates they think about their words and don’t always answer instinctually
