This was excellent stuff. I love seeing how many counters there are and how deep a team can go into a shot clock these days. It used to be during Jordans day you’d have counters for your own self to get a shot up but now with all the run outs, all the switching, all the pre-planning the smartest coaches implement, bball got so much smarter in executing with this free flow style of today that is learnt through understanding the schemes more and trusting your teammates to be in a place to help the person with the ball make the right read in the last second chaos moments. The Spurs are so young and they lacked that experience with each other in the dire moments late in a game with their errors but holy crap they were so dang close, they will be the powerhouse of this coming year for sure.

A lot were more about skills than smarts. Like the wemby block with the second hand, of course it’s great and impressive but do you have to be that smart to remember you have a second hand? Also, the behind the back passes are very nice, but knowing where your teamates are on the court is very much base level smarts.

Brunson completely outplayed the Spurs team in so many key plays. Hell of a run they had.

Adding bonus plays to the top 10 to explain a concept, so we can enjoy the run through of the actual play is a genius move.

It’s the Wembanyama era. They don’t call goaltends anymore. You literally have to block the ball up through the hoop before the officials will acknowledge a goaltend.
