@Wowza-b5b atlanta was one of the hottest teams in the league after the trade deadline. The 76ers were one of the top east teams at the beginning of the season. The knicks were 53 wins as a team just getting to know its new coach and trying to develop a bench while tweaking some details offensively and defensively. They had a great late season game against the hawks and that carried into the playoffs until game 4 when they found a new gear and nothing has been competitive since. This is what the regular season is for: preparation for the playoffs. Other teams in the east were already set and winning games with the best they had to offer while we were just getting started. Maybe we’re just better and it’s now showing when it’s supposed to. Have you thought about that?
@tlc380 you didn’t answer my question tho, how does beating the 76ers mean they will easily beat the Cavs? Max strus is better than anybody on the Knicks bench by far, I’m not even a Cavs fan btw
Perk says that like the Cavs or Pistons are great teams. Both Cavs and Pistons go completely cold for ages in the middle of games. Pistons play better defense, but neither of them would be a top 5 seed in the west.
@blikketty77it’s depends on matchup. Okc can beat any of these teams but they have trouble with the spurs. If spurs end up beating okc. Knicks gives spurs problem defensively.

If your argument is that the Knicks wouldn’t beat whoever comes out the West, then it doesn’t make sense to say “they need to get through the East first.” Seeing as how no one in the West has even gotten through the West yet, and the Knicks have been dominating their Eastern opponents anyway. You’re talking as if the Knicks are struggling. So far, they’ve dropped less games than San Antonio.
