I will say as a rockets fan Bruce Thornton has looked so impressive.
If he can continue this in training camp and in the preseason he should be getting major minutes off the bench for us.
His shooting and ball handling is exactly what we need off the bench especially if we want to bring back Fred slowly and take some pressure off of KD Amen and Alpi.

That’s okay… i’m glad he dropped down to us. The guy has Jalen Brunson vibes. He makes really good decisions for a youngster and a hooper at that. He’s super strong and very good motor. HIs PG skills are over the top.

It’s difficult to evaluate players in Summer League games. They’re like pick-up games, you get the ball, you shoot it (even when you’re told to play a normal game). That’s the goal in the minds of the players – they need to score as many points as possible to prove that they belong. Scoring is the most visible stat. They did a good thing by introducing the tournament component to incentivize players to pass the ball, play for a better shot, play defense, and make winning the game the primary objective, but it’s still tough when you’re competing against your own teammate. Not hating on anybody. These players have goals, and they’re trying hard to make it and fill a tiny amount of slots compared to eligible players. I wish them all luck.
