Luka Dončić’s ridiculous heater continues! 🚨 Watch highlights from his last five games, capped by a 42-point, 13-assist, 7-rebound, 6-three-pointer, 2-steal night.
Luka has now scored 35+ points in five straight games, including back-to-back 40-point performances. Over the stretch he’s averaging 43.4 points, 8.6 assists, 8.4 rebounds and 6.8 threes per game.
That makes him one of only two players in NBA history with 35+ points, 5+ rebounds, 5+ assists and 5+ threes in five straight games, joining Damian Lillard, who did it from Jan. 20 to Jan. 31, 2020.
And there’s more:
– It’s Luka’s 19th career game with 40+ points, 10+ assists and 5+ threes, passing James Harden (18) for the most in NBA history.
– It’s his league-leading fourth 40-point game this season.
– It’s his second 40-point, 10-assist game this season. The rest of the league has none.

He’s always getting criticized, while in reality, he’s keeping the NBA alive. And damn, he’s just so good, but he never had the team he needs. I have no idea why that is—maybe to keep the NBA in balance?

Luka is playing like his hair is on fire. Let me put this in perspective. The five longest 40-point scoring streaks in NBA history are completely dominated by Wilt Chamberlain, MJ, and Kobe Byrant, with the top three spots exclusively belonging to Chamberlain. Chamberlain captured both the first and second spots by scoring 40-plus points in 14 consecutive games during back-to-back years (a 14-game streak from December 8 to December 30, 1961, and another 14-game streak from January 11 to February 1, 1962), followed closely by his own 10-game streak later in 1962 for the third spot. Rounding out the top five are Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, who are tied for the fourth and fifth spots with 9 consecutive 40-point games each; Jordan orchestrated his 9-game offensive explosion from November 28 to December 12, 1986, while Bryant matched the 9-game feat nearly two decades later from February 6 to February 23, 2003. Just to give you all an idea of the gravity of Luka’s level of play…🔥I think he has a great chance to break one of these records this year.
