He had Porzingis, and didn’t utilize him well. He turned him into a spot up floor spacer so that he’d have more space to just run his spread pick and roll or Isolation all the time. He didn’t make Porzingis better, he grossly misused him to just give himself more room to operate.

Anthony Davis was one of the better big men to play in the NBA. However, his body is no longer durable due to all his injuries and wear and tear of his NBA career. A team would be mad to sign him knowing that he will undoubtedly become injured again. Yes, if there was a way to simply rest him for the majority of the season and play him during the playoffs knowing he wouldn’t get injured then yes he would be definitely be worth a middle tier contract, but he is injured throughout the season as well as the playoffs. He can rest most of the season and still fall and get injured during the playoffs for an indefinite period of time. He is not worth the risk unless he signed for a veteran minimum.
