Fred takes so much playmaking pressure off Amen & KD. Not only is he a great ball handler, he spreads the floor for Amen and provides natural leadership at point guard with his championship experience
Its preseason, let’s pump the brakes. Yes, he’s important. But if the Rockets young stars (Sengun, Amen, and Jabari) haven’t taken a leap by this season, the ceiling for the Rockets is 2nd round at best.
People need to realize an acl injury is not what it used to be to be with the medicine and technology that we have today look at how fast guys are coming back from an Achilles injury
Players like Fred and Kyle Lowry, Isaiah thomas etc, just know something about basketball others don’t. No moves no cross-cross between setups etc, they in average human bodies and height giving you buckets at a slow pace at that desoite all of the defenders height and athletic advantages
FVV strategically establishes his outside shooting early in the game. That keeps the defense honest with him when he runs the pick & roll w/ Sengun— which is gonna be the bread and butter of this offense. And as it should be, there was never any burden on KD to initiate the offense. If KD had stayed in the whole game He would’ve had the quietest 30 piece we’d ever see.
WHEN HEALTHY…UNGUARADABLE… seriously skilled hooper! Destroys all those Rico Hines runs like he’s the best player on the floor whenever he is out there..super sharp IQ, dope hooper!
great game by him after coming back from injury and everyone roasting his physique. glad to see he proved em wrong and hes in competitive condition. he can be as bloated as he wants, as long as he plays like this who cares.
