Kat was a disaster; those fouls are going to be the end of him. and Brunson was always holding onto the ball, missing shots, and making bad passes. So Kolek was just He was a decorative figure because they gave him little opportunity. Sometimes they didnāt know what to do with the ball when passing, and time was running out. The defense was terrible.

Why does Mitch insist on taking the ball out of Fox hands when being ball up court with castle ? I love castle but his strength is not bringing ball up court like Fox
Itās pretty clear as to why. They beat OKC cause OKC doesnāt shoot many 3s and tends to drive towards the basket, and couldnāt do that against Wemby. If you go back and watch those games, they try to and then get scared because Wemby is there and so they end up jacking and missing a lot of 3s. This didnāt happen with the Jazz because the Spurs kept leaving them open from 3 and the Jazz just kept making those shots, which is why they lost, and same with the Cavs. The other issue is that the Spurs just donāt usually take many 3s.
So most of the Spursā points are based on driving to the basket, which is fine, but due to how many 3s other teams are taking per game, itās easy to see why teams that rely on the 3-ball more will have a better chance against the Spurs than a team like OKC
I think if the Spurs can fix up their perimeter defense, become more consistent offensive players, and have less turnovers (looking at Castle for that lmao), theyāll be a much more formidable force for the ENTIRE league instead of just OKC. This is why OKC is cooking every other team too because their tactics work with them, but not on the Spurs
