No excuse? Andre not everyoneās body is same. Everyone deals with heat differently. Times and conditions are different now than when u played. Itās sinnerās weakness but it doesnāt mean itās something he can fix it overnight. FYI how many masterās 1000 titles and grand slam titles did u win when u were 25? The answer is 3 and 1. At 24 Sinner now has 10 masters 1000 (including all 9) and 4 GS ( every one except RG). So š making it seem like this guy is some average joe that u can trash talk. Sinner and Alcaraz are way above ur league. Thatās why I always liked Sampras never u!
Andreās attack wasnāt a personal attack, so I donāt know why you had to take it personally on Jannikās behalf. Andre is simply giving his informed opinion on what he witnessed, and Andre definitely has the qualifications to back up his opinions.
Have you ever seen any of the greatest players tap out at 90mins of play? Rafa, Fed, Murray? Those guys all played hundreds upon hundreds of matches and even in their 30s have never shut down like that. It must be poor preparation if it wasnt an ilness. Also, if anyone can talk I think Agassi has more clout than most.
Look, when Alcaraz dropped out of the French a month before, Sinnerās team (including his physio) had one and only ONE objective: keeping their man healthy and upright through 7 rounds in Paris. He couldnāt even make it out of round one. Thatās a serious bust.
I think itās possible due to his pale skin, Germanic heritage, maybe thereās a genetic reason he has difficulty with warm conditions (see: Spizziri in Melbourne, Carlos in Cinci, the default in China).
Andre thinks he knowsā¦. but he really doesnāt.
He does not know if Sinner had something going on with his health prior to that match.
Unless you are on his team⦠you just donāt know the full story.
I would imagine Agassi has never dealt with your mind or body just giving up. Sinner is amongst the most fit players on tour. 1 hour 45 minutes as a world number one is a fluke issue, this has nothing to do with ALL OF HIS MATCHES IN THE PAST. Saying there is no excuse doesnāt change the fact that it is clearly something Sinner could not overcome, otherwise he just doesnāt want to be a champion is what Iām taking from Agassiās take. Sounds like heās blaming Sinner for not having a desire
umm itās really funny how a (yes, granted a career grand slam winner) retired player, who confessed to be using and abusing during his playing days all of a sudden claims heās a hydration and diet expert and has been during his playing days, I mean, Andre, we love you and I know you would not loose that match having 2 sets and 2 breaks in your favour, but please, youāre not a gold standard on hydration and nutritionā¦
I guess Agassi would know having won the first five Masters of the year coming into RG during an unprecedented heat wave when he was playing so he understands fatigueā¦. or no, sorry he didnāt ever do that.
Sorry Andre, Sinner wasnāt tired or overheated. He was sick and explained that several timesā¦
The best player in the world doesnāt come to a grand slam unprepared.
Oh, Andre, your father certainly taught you well how to criticize others and the ā effecfsā are still strong and visible, Mr. Opinions . We donāt know whether Sinnerās heat-related defiances have a medical etiology. Itās most possible that if his difficulties were āfixableā as you nonsensically suggested, he would have addressed them since he has the means and resources.
Perhaps itās just convenient for you to come on a show and open your mouth and speak out trash.
Why didnāt you solve your walking and feet issues, since in your opinion, there are no excuses for not fixing an issue?
