Andre did give Zverev the edge but should have been more positive. Zverev did adjust quickly against Jodar and kept his nerve to win in straight sets. Zverev has higher rated forehand and backhand and most are giving much more edge to Zverev. He should have more understanding and belief since Andre himself lost 3 Grand Slam finals and won on the 4th try. Andre is married to fellow German countrywoman Steffi who is probably like Angie Kerber hoping he will break through and win. With that said anything is possible to happen in this French Open.
Seeing so many top players get knocked out of the tournament – the French Open gives a special late entry to Rafa (who comes out of retirement)… and wins it again.
@Mozartkugel Right…if someone is not into what has been going on this year at French Open and be at awe, then they are not tennis fans. Period. Which is completely fine, but there are other forums perhaps for them
@Patricius.K oh wait you’re actually right…I just looked up his player profile on ATP Tour website and it actually is pronounced “Mensheek”. I always though it was “Mensik” lol
Obviously, he was a successful athlete, but I will always remember after Agassi lost in a final at San Jose he was gracious and took a photo with me and Brad Gilbert talked my mom and 9 year old me too. Such lovely people.

You can choose a lot of adjectives to describe this year’s french open, but it certainly isn’t dull.
