I don’t think TNT realizes we were missing Manson-our toughest & most physical dman. Granted with Eck,& Brodin out-Wild are missing more. But they keep saying we were fully healthy & that’s not true (Kryvanta also).Neither team can be happy with tonight but it was bigger game for Colorado. With those 2 guys out,& jumping to 3-0 lead-we kinda couldn’t lose this 1. But game 2 is far more important for the Wild now. I still expect a long,& tough series. I work at Ball & told my coworkers before the playoffs that Minny would beat Dallas (I said in 7)-& winner of this series will win the Cup,& I believe that.

I don’t expect Manson to be back Tues-since we won,& get 3 days off between games 2,& 3. But golden opportunity for AVS to go up 2-0 since I heard Eck,& Brodin have both been ruled out for game 2. But won’t be easy-I expect Minny will be very desperate not to go down 2-0. Cuz as great as they are -im not sure anybody can beat the AVS 4 of 5. On to a MASSIVE game 2. But at least worst case we go back 1-1 now. Tonight was incredibly frustrating at times-despite a very important win. In the end-Minny not adding Trochek at deadline as I feared they would-might make the difference-but long ways before that.

Gustavsson was the solution to the Avs this season with his 44 save 5-2 game.

@Felalesolution? The Avs were missing half their line up….but whatever you think. There isn’t a “silver bullet” in this series for either team!

@Felale Gus gave up 4 or 5 goals in his last like 5 starts. If he’s shaken that off and locked back in he could be the answer. I’d start Wally Game 2 but be quick to pull him if he gives up a couple quick ones. Gotta give him a shot to redeem himself.

They scored half as many goals as the MTL-TB series in one game. Crazy.

      @mitchellmanalakos3343check what? The MTL-TB series had 31 goals. Tonight’s game had 15.

    Different ways of reffing

    Decides score

    The refs in Montreal Tampa

    Missed so many calls

And then tried to make it up with soft calls

Also the refs were trying to even calls…

As a Swede I feel torn when it comes to my loyalty to either team.
Wallstedt needs to stop the high pucks, what the heck was that???

      May 4, 2026 at 11:34 am

I wonder if he just hasn’t taken shots like that in a while. Dallas really didn’t get a ton of shots from there on the rush, they weren’t fast enough. It’s so strange.

P.s. support the Wild. Our climate is closer to Sweden, and Minnesota has a ton of people of Swedish descent. Been here 5 generations and my family still has potatiskorv and julskinka every Christmas

😂😂😂 you’re cracking me up: go watch the tape on games one and two from the WCF in the Avs last cup run. Yeah, it’s going to go that way.

    • @svrgnknight

      May 4, 2026 at 11:31 am

@user-qr7ee2cp4yMinnesota is used to giving up 9?

  6. @Doctorboster

    May 4, 2026 at 8:36 am

Yeah because Rick bowness had a lot of playoff success we should definitely listen to him… There was absolutely zero defense played last night, maybe 2 of those 8 goals wallstedt should’ve saved. But to say they should change goalies because he was left out to dry 5 times by middleton and spurgeon is laughable

  7. @Holy_HelixT

    May 4, 2026 at 8:44 am

    Go Avs!!

    May 4, 2026 at 9:18 am

If you can’t blame wedgewood, you can’t blame wallstead

    • @camfranson1194

      May 4, 2026 at 9:37 am

Exactly. Put Wally in game 2.

    • @Keithfert490

      May 4, 2026 at 11:55 am

Giving up that Kadri goal was a backbreaker for the wild. One goalie was clearly worse

    • @davidblalock5398

      May 4, 2026 at 12:22 pm

If you look at the goals, you certainly can. Wallstead had good looks at 4or5 on his left side and kept getting beat. Wedgewood was never beat in the same way. He almost never had a clean look.

    • @Rino37

      May 4, 2026 at 3:46 pm

@davidblalock5398 goalies don’t stop perfect shots. Avs’ shooting was lights out.

    • @davidblalock5398

      May 4, 2026 at 4:39 pm

@Rino37agreed. But I’m simply addressing the “they were both equal” commentary.

    • @The.Alfonzo.Paniagua

TNT is the worst, glad we got a much better panel on sportsnet

    • @OotoriKyouya

      May 4, 2026 at 10:42 am

Sportsnet? What an asinine take. You know Biz also does Sportsnet from time to time, right? All I see is a clown who is a fan of another clown named Bieska

    • @akme1974

      May 4, 2026 at 11:10 am

TNT was slanted towards Dallas, not Colorado. Wild beat the Stars and everyone jumped on the bandwagon. Avs are better than Dallas

  13. @EPiche09

    May 4, 2026 at 9:50 am

Hahah sped up highlights. Just unbelievable

  14. @kameronerdman5870

    May 4, 2026 at 10:03 am

the only thing that would shake a rookie goaltenders confidence more than giving up 8 goals to the best offense in the league is getting his starting role taken from him after having one bad game against the best offense in the league. ride with wally

    • @anenemystand5582

      May 4, 2026 at 2:57 pm

I think you should pull him as an unbiased bystander. Like I DEFINITELY have no stake in whether Minnesota gives up goals or not. Just my opinion, please do not look at any other comments I have made regarding which team I support. Just take this on good faith

    • @kameronerdman5870

      May 4, 2026 at 3:01 pm

  16. @blanknamelol-v6f

    May 4, 2026 at 11:36 am

why are they trying to convice the viewers that this wasnt an electric hockey game? constantly bringing up they are well coached teams and they are gonna figure this out as if everybody didnt enjoy that game. and the goalie hypocrisy is kinda crazy ngl.

    • @jamesc7272

      May 4, 2026 at 2:06 pm

Yeah, I think that once the game was 3-2 both coaches knew that the boys wanted to play and their was no way to hold them back at the point.

  17. @tiljeng

    May 4, 2026 at 11:48 am

Burns getting a cup this year

  18. @kombatjenning

    May 4, 2026 at 12:12 pm

I think there’s a good sense of logic behind what Bowness suggested of giving Gustavsson a look for game 2 because in a wild high-scoring game like that in the playoffs with a rookie goaltender, the last thing you want him to do is come in game 2 with a spooked state of mind and Wallstedt is probably looking back at those goals, especially the ones late in the game, with some frustration and angst on himself and game 2 would be a good time for the Wall to repair himself mentally after a game like that. It will also give Minnesota’s defense a different state of mind and approach against Colorado because for as much scoring potential the Wild have, you don’t want this series to turn into a shootout with the Avalanche. You’re NEVER beating them like that. Like Rick said as well, the last thing you want to do is fall behind 0-2 to Colorado and let your rookie goaltender have too much of a seed of doubt nestled that’s he’s not in the right mind to play games 3 or 4 in St. Paul.

    May 4, 2026 at 12:36 pm

not playing wally would be a mistake

  20. @metalapollo

    May 4, 2026 at 12:55 pm

run with wally but if AVS put up 2 on him, pull him.

Terrible take on Wallstedt Bones. Go to bed.

    May 4, 2026 at 1:46 pm

I completely disagree with the analysts about it a sloppy game. For you maybe, for fans, just what we like to see. Skill, speed and goal scoring!

  23. @RoscoMontana21

    May 4, 2026 at 3:32 pm

Avs are absolutely winning game 2 if Wally is in net

  24. @TeamOT

Meanwhile Habs win with 9 SOG.

Coach Bowness is such a Gem. Like a professor…he sees and explains the game like few others. I sure do enjoy listening to him!
