Maybe it would have been more of a blowout if different combinations of players were on the floor. A coach would rather lose than put best team on the floor.
Not exactly sure who you think the best team is (I’m also doubting you watched much of the game, if at all), but we saw a LOT of different combinations today, which were all coming up short. Thankfully, we got just enough production from the vets at the end.

Angel Reese defense kept Team U.S A in the game and Jackie Young, Chlelsea Gray made key plays duriing the clutch time. Give Italy the credit. ITALY’S Zanadasini of Golden State Valkyries was the beast for their national team today. Though, they came up short, she kept the Team U.S.A on their toes.

That starting line up is slow. The coach seems to be prioritizing veteran status over talent. That is a recipe for disaster.
