If there isn’t a movie or major documentaries made about this finals series, it’d be a colossal missed opportunity. This was one of the most storybook finals series in the history of the league. I’ve been watching since the 90s. I can’t think of too many others that are on the same level as this aside from 2016 Lebron coming back from 3-1 or the Ray Allen 3 that saved the Heat, etc.
The Knicks felt like a team of destiny. That somehow found something at the perfect time that led them to a ring. It felt like everything was going their way in the finals, they made it happen but it felt like they had a lil angel on their shoulders or something lol. The OG tip in… the Wemby turnover in game 2, Brunson going god mode in game 5 to clinch it… how close all these games were was wild.
I’m sitting here in my head thinking about how I would try to explain this clip to some foreigners who have no idea what basketball is. Them asking y they r so bad at handling the ball n me explaining that they r actually the best in the world at handling the ball. That this play just broke down etc. Prolly thinking the same shit I think when I c people play cricket. Like this looks f*cking easy I know a thousand people that r prolly better then these guys
That clearly wasn’t a foul but even if it was it wouldn’t matter since the clock should’ve started as soon as KAT touched the ball which would mean the game would be over before the ball even reached Castle.
Maybe because an exhausted 22 year old Wemby averaged over 26 points and 3 blocks while Kat averaged 13 points and only scored in 1 of 5 last quarters, and he didn’t guard Wemby for most of the series…
@addytrolla2535you would think that might have something to do with the horrific officiating that had him in foul trouble early and often while Wemby never got called for anything the whole series, I think he averaged like 2 fouls
@goatindaruffness79I will admit Wemby got away with a few bad calls. He probably could have been thrown out of the game for pushing Brunson too. But Kat is known for always being in foul trouble and Wemby is known for being the Only player who averages more blocks than fouls every season. Wemby usually goes straight up and rarely reaches outside his cylinder for blocks. Wemby was gassed so his 3’s weren’t dropping. Outside of that, he averaged his usual 26 points, 12 boards and 3 blocks. Kat didn’t neutralize him. Wemby was just tired after the 2 brutal series while Knicks had sweeps. He had a blood clot last season and played minutes restrictions for most of this season. Also he just added over 30 pounds of muscle and had never played a full season plus playoffs before. His body hadn’t adapted to that long of a season like the Knicks had already adapted. The whole Spurs team was new to that and the Thunder series and injuries to Fox and Kornet really slowed the Spurs down. Wemby will work through that and the Spurs will be fitter and more experienced next season.
Do you guys really believe Kat neutralized him? That feels so silly after watching Kat average 13 points and 0 blocks and struggle in every last quarter.
@addytrolla2535Bro stop with the excuses. They got their ass kicked period. Kat wasn’t taking his usual amount of shots because he was busy assisting and locking down the ailen. And they had a wining record against the Spurs before the championship game. So stop being a hater! Go New York go new york go🏆🧡💙

Castle criticized Shai for flopping, then becomes the biggest flopper of the finals. Both of them should never mention Kobe at all.
