A lot of ppl don’t understand how insane his development has been. He was just another guy at the beginning of the year only playing like 19 minutes a game and now he’s probably the hawks 3rd-4th best player behind Trae Dyson and Jalen

    • @BLByline

      April 10, 2025 at 11:27 pm

I’d put him over Dyson. DPOY is nothing to scoff at, but risacher’s D is solid and the mix of skills these highlights show is wild. He cuts on offense, he runs the floor, he’s a strong spot shooter and the kid is only 19!

There is a reason why he went first overall pick in his draft class. He put on a dominating performance tonight against the Brooklyn Nets. He put on a great show🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀

  37. @barunosardadi4717

    April 11, 2025 at 12:09 pm

He needs to improve in half-court or tight defensive situations, where space is limited and quick decisions are crucial. I think his scoring are not good in these situations. Enhancing his footwork, use of fakes, finding open position, and back-to-the-basket moves will help him create separation (he could learn from Luka). He also needs to reduce turnovers, and improve shooting consistency. Getting physically stronger will also help him handle contact and maintain balance. In open-court play, he’s already quite advanced for his age.

      April 11, 2025 at 1:22 pm

Bruh he doesn’t have the that much, he’s OK just turned 20 years old if he hasn’t improved by year 3 then I feel you. Rookie on limited minutes

    • @barunosardadi4717

      April 11, 2025 at 5:51 pm

I know, just an observation of how his current area of improvement to focus on.

    • @William_Stephens

      April 11, 2025 at 9:29 pm

Yea he could tighten up his handle a bit and I think that would really help with his shot creation in the half court but it is super impressive how well he can score without being ball dominant. I think he’s going to average double figures just from getting 5-6 easy baskets per game in transition. It’s his rookie season and idk if there is a guy who hustles harder and is more effective in transition. You have a guy who is pushing 6’10in flying down the court after steals and rebounds.

Think about MPJ with no back injuries at the same age and you begin to see what Atlanta saw in him. The shooting, efficient movement in tight spaces and defense are all really tantalizing if you imagine him 3-5 years from now. Shaun Livingston vibes with less of a handle at the moment. Word on the street is that he might have grown over the course of the season and they are going to measure him again after the season. There is a recent photo sta ding with Mo Gueye who is listed as 6’10 and Zacch is taller than him. His game at 6’10.5-6’11 would be insane
