40 years later and Michael Jordan is still the GOAT…and this is coming from a 1995 born individual. Just greatness

      December 22, 2025 at 12:43 pm

@codyboyd5590they only contested in the restricted area cause that’s the only place the folks try to score from… I guess they are just shit no wonder Michael is their goat, he could shoot

What I’d say is that Jordan (and the Bulls) took away many others’ best opportunities to win it. Barkley, Stockton and Malone especially as those players best chances were during the years when they lost to Chicago in the Finals. Of course they had other chances, but sometimes it’s just that one year when everything comes together…and hey, it’s MJ waiting for you.

When the NBA used to be physical and not 3 pointer aftet 3 pointer with flopping.

Pretty wild how teams used to score 80-90 points in a game and now they’re scoring as much as 150. Which means that when Jordan averaged 37 points per game around this time, that would be the equivalent of about 55-60 points per game in the present context. Nuts.

    • @qqqqqqq936

      December 22, 2025 at 6:51 pm

Teams averaged 109,9 points that season. Teams averaged 113,8 points last season. So Jordans 37 would be today…well, 38.

Sorry to burst the “tough 80’s defense” bubble

    • @sneeweeble

      December 22, 2025 at 7:13 pm

@qqqqqqq936 his team had the slowest pace that year so put him in a fast pace offense. 45 easy

Is there any way the NBA can release vintages games on youtube?? How amazing would that be, if we could go back and watch classic games. I’m sure companies would line for advertising slots.

    • @AkashKumar-zr8dc

      December 22, 2025 at 6:34 pm

The NBA did do a series on releasing classic games back during Covid. And besides that there are tons you can find from other uploaders

  10. @noyce.

    December 22, 2025 at 3:54 pm

Put the nostalgia tinted glasses away, you tell me people would watch 48 minutes of this?

If it isn’t the star power of MJ, touch your heart.. you’ll fall asleep watching this today and you know it

    • @TFNARMY_MHM

      December 22, 2025 at 4:42 pm

I’ve watched multiple 80’s and 90’s games and I’ve never fallen asleep unless actually tired, seems like you just watch highlights with your low attention span.

    • @noyce.

      December 22, 2025 at 5:16 pm

@TFNARMY_MHM That’s honestly impressive, watched multiple 80s and 90s games and you’ve never fallen asleep unless actually tired. 👍

    • @Ues2DC

      December 22, 2025 at 9:10 pm

Even Thinking Basketball who is an apologist for this era couldn’t ignore all the bs that’s allowed.

Jordan scoring 45ppg if he’s allowed to carry, travel, offensive foul etc with no hand check and today soft d.

And Jordan still has the highest ratings where today NBA struggles to match college basketball 😂

Guess people would rather fall asleep than watch this “superior” basketball huh? FOH.

    • @Ues2DC

      December 22, 2025 at 9:22 pm

Also hell yeah I’m watching Magic Bird Jordan Olajuwon Dominique Barkley Robinson etc etc over this where they manufacture stars by changing the rules so much and bricking 3s all game 😂

  11. @rollercoasters-h3z

    December 22, 2025 at 4:15 pm

Nba should cancel the season and just play these vintage matches . This is pure basketball, defense , no load management.

    • @AndikanEnoch

      December 22, 2025 at 4:54 pm

In today’s era you can’t guard someone with that much space from the three point line.

    • @ChrisGalicia-e3k

      December 22, 2025 at 5:25 pm

      .,

    • @sumofat4994

      December 22, 2025 at 8:53 pm

@AndikanEnoch Yes we know because people will jack shit up even if they miss them constantly. Its boring to watch and what they should do is only allow the three pointers during the first three quaters but none in the 4th or something its boring af to watch compared to this

  12. @FrankDBoyce

    December 22, 2025 at 4:52 pm

This is what all the old heads forget. Yes, MJ had bad games. Yes, MJ did miss clutch shots. Yes, MJ’s teammates bailed him out.

    • @Ues2DC

      December 22, 2025 at 9:05 pm

No one forgot that. This is a lie people such as yourself say. No one who isn’t an idiot doesn’t understand that every player in the history of the NBA – Jordan included – had bad games and games where teammates were essential down the stretch. What it’s really about then is consistency and how they perform on the biggest stages more often than not.

      Pretty low IQ comment.

  13. @AndikanEnoch

    December 22, 2025 at 4:53 pm

Let no one tell me that players don’t play defense today. The amount of movement defenses have to undergo in this era is strenuous. You can appreciate different eras without trying to beat down the other.

    • @Ues2DC

      December 22, 2025 at 9:15 pm

Nah. NBA just allows players to get away with so much bs to artificially create scorers.

  14. @qqqqqqq936

    December 22, 2025 at 6:54 pm

Just for context, Teams averaged 110 points in the 86-87 season. Last year, it was 113.

80s defense was not tough at all

    • @sumofat4994

      December 22, 2025 at 8:47 pm

They were actually tough and in the 70’s teams scored even higher. The rules were different the game was called correctly unlike today where they are given masssive amount of leeway for the offensive player.
Sorry to bust your bubble but your full of dodo

    • @Ues2DC

      December 22, 2025 at 9:14 pm

Even Thinking Basketball who normally apologizes for this era couldn’t ignore the bs any longer.

It’s about more than pace. Game is a joke they allow so much for these allegedly super skilled players
