He is already the goat shotblocker to me. You have to understand life is incredibly difficult today for shot blockers , it’s not the 80 or 90s anymore with iso plays and the driving to the rim, teams analyse data and react immediately to limit the shots he can block and still, he has unbelievable statistics. Mark Eaton just had to sit in the paint it was just coming to him, again and again. For Wemby no. It’s unreal.

Here’s a guy who’s potentially taking away 20 points from the opposition, let’s say…or even 10 points with 5 blocks a game, and creating changes of possession because he doesn’t show off and whack the blocks out of bounds. Not gonna automatically win you a championship on only that count, but perhaps in the future…
