I think the hate came from his numbers being empty because the team wasn’t good. I’m not the biggest Trae fan but he’s finally putting up those numbers in winning basketball. No doubt a top 5 PG in the league today

@4ktkaram395 bad teams can make the playoffs, especially in the east. Their run to the ECF was clearly a fluke since they haven’t sniffed it since. I go by the eye test, and this team looks and feels better than the ones that made the playoffs and got beat in the first round

Boss what are you talking about his run to the ECF being a fluke? It seems to me you’re not one TO TRULY recognize good basketball when it exists..the amount of effort and genuine winning basketball that was played by him and his squad was hard not to see playing winning basketball is no fluke, and who knows what would have happened if he never went down with his injury against the bucks

Jokić has much more versatility in his passes (touch passes, outlets, lobs, kickouts) while most of Trae’s assists this season come from more or less basic chest passes on the perimeter to 3 point shooters. Trae is being used as a vessel for the Hawks because teams expect him to pull from 30 feet all the time but his refusal to do that has gotten his teammates more open, resulting in a higher assist count but lower quality assists
