For me, I give a big F to The Last Dance that they don’t even put him on promo poster. I’m a long time Bull’s fan since 90. I know of his humble sportsman persona, his unselfishness, his understanding of the game, and inclusiveness of everyone playing with him without showing of, and his importance for the success of the Bull or when they were struggling. As much as I think MJ was great, but the team does not make out of one or two persons. To make someone shines, (because of big endorsers I suppose), others must sacrifice, maybe that is the motto they didn’t mention. At least give the respect that Kukoc deserves by putting him on poster at least, but hell no. Old school Bull’s fans would definitely recognise him on the poster. It is a big disappointment even though the documentary has some good angles on some issues.

    • Ivan Ljubicic

      May 14, 2020 at 9:52 am

It is shame, imagine Gsw documentary in 2040 with Splash bros,Kerr,Green and Patrick Mc Caw on poster instead of Igoudala. Kerr is great dude but he was nowhere near as good or important for Bulls as Toni.

Toni Kukoč the man who was doing the euro step before the great Manu, had already pioneered the exact same fade-away that dirk used his whole career, and even arguably one of the real first stretch 4s in the nba

Jordan was super lucky with his bulls team. Having Pippen (An all around forward, might be greater than MJ imo), Rodman (One of the best rebounders and defensive players ever), Kukoc (Who was one of the best in another foreign league), and super good role players, and the BEST coach ever. He not the GOAT cause he had ton of super help, put him in lebron’s cavs team of 2007 and 2017-2019 he wouldnt even reach the finals LMAOOO. Lebron is the real GOAT

People may not notice but Phil Jackson likes using a small line up to end games, Tony was just perfect for the role, playing 3 from the bench but 4 to end games, no wonder Steve Kerr does the same (death lineup).

*xxxxxJAYMILLZxxxxxxx@* I see you are a big fan of Toni Kukoc! You can praise him however you like, but the NBA statistics say just the opposite! He was a good player in Europe and won many awards, but in the NBA he was just an average player and nothing else. *In his 13 years of NBA, he won only one prize!* (NBA Sixt (6) man of the year >) that’s very little for a (your) superstar! … just that and nothing more! MVP League … none … MVP Playoff … none … All-Star games in 13 years … none! NBA players of the week … none… NBA players of the month … none…. His 13-year NBA career: 846 games, *points% 11.6* !, 3 points% *33.5* !, FT% 72.9! and *win shares 59.6 !!! … *these are weak numbers.* Let’s compare (*Win Shares) Michael Jordan: Win Shares 214.0 (!!!) … or the best European player who played in the NBA: Dirk Nowitzki: Win Shares 206.3 !!! Here I end the discussion, *little man, you have to look reality in the eye and not just all these video mixes* … play well here, fit well, nice scoring and blah blah blah … everyone can create beautiful videos, right? ! A little consolation for you, little man. Toni Kucoc comes to the HOF sometime see Dino Radja, they didn’t deserve it! … The answer here: Only the many awards and championships that he won in Europe and also played in the NBA, nothing else … and continue dreaming! Au revoir…..

Considering the hype in Europe one could say he underachieved. Loved his style though

    • xxxxxJAYMILLZxxxxxxx

      May 17, 2020 at 12:49 am

HE Never under achieved at all in his nba career, he basically sacrificed his true natural position ontop of ball handling to be a role player for MJ. By the time he was finished with the bulls he was stepping out of his prime, but the man is a huge reason for the second bulls 3 peat. No Kukoč no 3 peat 👊🇭🇷 people tend to forget the amount of times he’s bailed out MJ+ Pippen.

100000000%. Pippen already made it clear that it’s a travesty he’s not in already. It’s time for MJ to speak up, he knows first hand how many times he bailed him out in crucial moments. The longer this goes on the bigger the slap in the face this is for Toni. The mans basketball career is legendary, his medal collection is a mile long. The fact that’s he’s the only player to ever win 3x in a row for both club and NBA team will NEVER, ever be broken again.

  108. xxxxxJAYMILLZxxxxxxx

    May 17, 2020 at 12:50 pm

This is a good highlight reel considering the many out there that do zero justice for Kukoč. Even this one missed a lot of the,, especially the series against Utah. There’s a lot you gotta dig up and you’ll see the relentless times he’s bailed out mike and Pippen in CRUCIAL moments

  113. Credit Suisse

    May 17, 2020 at 2:58 pm

I don’t want to write badly about *Toni Kukoc* but in my opinion (due to his weak NBA career statistics) *he didn’t deserve to be inducted into the United States Hall of Fame in Springfield!* And why? We all know that Toni Kukoc was a talented and intelligent Basketball Player and won many Championships and Awards in Europe & World with (among other) Jugoplastika Split (later POP 84, KK), ex-Yugoslavia and later with Croatia! And also because of his size and slim figure he could dribble well, get good nice passes and good three throws and much more! … that alone is not enough to become a Big Superstar in the NBA!
Let’s take a look at his (Toni) *13-year Career in NBA-Statistics per game* from 1993/94 to 2005/06:
    Games (846), FG% (44.7), 3 Points% ( *33.5* ! ), eFG% (49.2), FT% ( *72.9* ! ) TRB (4.2), AST (3,7), STL (1.0), BLK (0.3), Points ( *11.6* ! ) PER (17.3), Win Shares ( *59.6* ! ); *in bold* these are weak numbers …
*NBA Awards:* 1995/96 Sixth *(6)* Man of the Year ( *Bench Player Award* ! ), *Only one Award in 13 NBA Years* and this as one of the best European players who played in Europe!
    *NBA All-Star Games* in 13 Years, *nothing* !!! ….
There are other important Awards in the NBA that he (Toni) has not won:
    Player of the Week: none, Player of the Month: none, All-NBA First Team: none, All-NBA Second Team: none, All-NBA Third Team: none;
*Summary:* Toni Kukoc NBA-Statistics are just average … NBA Awards … *just a Measly Price* and nothing else !
You shouldn’t make the mistake of comparing a European Superstar who was successful in Europe with a European Superstar who played almost only in the NBA and was successful there! It’s like day and night! The NBA League is the strongest league in the World and much more Athletic. They have the Best of the Best Players in the World and cannot be compared to the European League Club Championship or the best European National League in the Spanish league “ACB” (today), which is only the second choice!
And finally: Toni Kukoc is just a small Nemo Fish in contrast to these three Big Sharks: Nowitzki, Pau Gasol or Tony Parker ….
