Spurs never took the lead once in this game. A little disappointing, TBH. Castle w/6 TOs, which is odd. Malaki and Keldon making some of the same tunnel vision plays. Pop’s obsession w/Cissoko is purely theoretical at this point; the dude cannot score or create his own shot at the NBA level and that’s odd, considering he’s such a gifted passer. Starting to really wonder about Sochan’s role on this team. He’s been playing out of position since he came into the NBA; first at PG, noble experiment, now at PF mostly. At Baylor he projected more as a wing 3 where he could use his physical advantages; at the 4, he’s often just undersized. Exploited a lot tonight by Chet and that will continue to happen. W/out deep shooting gravity and this roster he’s looking more and more like a role player, a Kyle Anderson/Alex Caruso specialist—yet still not as good. He doesn’t have an identity on offense, compared to say, Julian, who we know can pop to the corners and launch 3, and that’s a tough buy as a starter. Without a competent PG out there to set him up, hopefully Chris Paul, he’s not effective.
Sochan might be better off in the Keldon role ultimately, off the bench, only he’s going to have to improve as a scorer. And of course Keldon will likely have to be moved.

Very casual game, very definition of an exhibition. Nothing much to take away from either team. AC and iHart look to be seamless additions to the Thunder. Should go well for the team.

Castle looks huge in there. Looks real strong. Could probably guard a 4 as his body matures even more. If he learns well from CP3 how to play the point smart, he will have a better career than both Dejounté or DWhite.
