In all three, nesmith prolly contributed the most. He needs to be talked about more

Nembhard, too. Hali gets all the attention because he is usually the one taking the final shot. But the whole team deserves a ton of credit for the insane comebacks!

He became Tracy McGrady last night lol and Hali Reggie Miller. As a Bucks fan, nothing but respect. Rep the east in the finals (hopefully)

Never count the Pacers out on anything when they were only losing by 5 to Knicks with 23 seconds left I knew they were going to win the game again.

I havnt watched the NBA in a Very Long time. Since they STOLE my Sonics. But this “New” NBA SUCKS ! & now I can see why they have Less than HALF of the viewers.
It literally looks like the All-Star Game’s from back in the 90’s. Where NOBODY even attempts to play Defense and they all just hoist up “3’s” . Nothing is going to happen until they bring back the ( 1990’s ) Rules. Which allow Teams to play actual DEFENSE !

Like when they banned zone defense and double teaming in order to encourage isolation scorers? Oh wait… that was the 90s.

Trust me, we can all tell that you haven’t watched the NBA for a very long time.

Lol. why didn’t Milwaukee just foul the Pacers with 10 – 7 seconds on the clock. Yeah, the most likely would have got 2 points in free throw, giving them a 1 point lead, but Milwaukee would have much more time on the clock than just 1.3 seconds to get a better shot off. Just shows you the scripted set up.

    • @MrMagnaniman

      May 22, 2025 at 8:05 pm

Why didn’t the Bucks just hand the lead to the Pacers with mere seconds left on the clock? Gee… That’s a totally reasonable question. Why hasn’t anyone signed you as an NBA coach, yet?

As a Bucks fan, I have so much respect for the Pacers. They broke our hearts, and then proceeded to burn Cleveland and NY with even more dramatics. This video needs to be studied by every team in the league. How the details matter in a playoff, how to be fundamentally sound and not choke a lead, and on the other side, how to keep fighting and not give up teamwide. Respect to the Pacers, they deserve to represent the east in the finals.

    Wheres the consistency?
    That foul under the basket:
Mitchell has his hands straight up and jumps within his own vertical plane.

The more times I rewatch these comebacks, the more I see how it’s coaching that’s the difference.

Milwaukee, Cleveland, and New York were all not prepared for some basic, high-leverage scenarios that happen at the ends of close games, especially when holding a lead. It’s a given that opposing teams are going to full court press and trap. Indiana’s end-of-game plans are all in place and Carlisle lets them play through. They execute them very well, not flawlessly, but nearly.

It isn’t just about X-and-O’s either, it’s about handling pressure, and the coach can prepare them here too. So many brainless plays by all three teams in crunch time. Indiana deserves credit for playing to the end and getting into a position where pressure would tell.

There’s some luck involved here, of course. But if any of those teams eliminates even one unforced error, it renders that luck all moot.
