Funny thing is anyone can. It’s wide open this year. No real juggernauts. So once the Suns get healthy and trade the dead weight of Crowder you never know!

Mikal Bridges has been playing an elite level ever since Devin Booker got injured and tonight he continued his pattern of good basketball.

    • Macca Beach

      February 4, 2023 at 10:30 pm

Nothing wrong with him, it’s a back to back. He did more with the Celtics game. He just old and still did 14 assist.

Suns outrebounded the Pistons 46-30. That was the difference in the game.

Chris Paul doesn’t need to score and at his age what do you expect 30 pts every night get real dude 14 assist is good enough for a 38 year old

    • Ken M

      February 5, 2023 at 11:17 am

@Mr. Pink The big question you raised is in the ify word.
Don’t forget that few days ago, the Hawks blew us out here in Phoenix and your point god scored about 5 points with many assists. I don’t know how his assists were not converted to points to help us overcome the embarrassing loss at home to the Hawks.
Point blank, assists are not points and only points win games and not assists.

    • Ken M

      February 5, 2023 at 11:21 am

@Michael Fabrizio Really, please tell me that LBJ doesn’t need to score at his age. Please tell me that someone making over $30m a year does need need to score. I rest my case.

    • Mek96

      February 5, 2023 at 11:57 am

@Ken M cp had 3 assists in that hawks game and they lost. No assists means no one is scoring dummy. Ayton is not scoring on his own if cp not finding him looks

Had 14 assists so hes doing his job to me. Makes up for only scoring 2 points.

    • Ken M

      February 5, 2023 at 1:06 am

@RyRy Spoon Assist don’t win games, only points win games. If you can’t score, you can’t win.

    • RyRy Spoon

      February 5, 2023 at 1:19 am

@Ken M he had an off night shooting wise. And set up assists which turn into points therefore assists help win the game. He had 15 point the other night against Boston. Beat the best team in the nba.

      February 5, 2023 at 1:45 am

That’s like saying RBI’s don’t mean anything because only runs matter. It’s a huge contradiction.

Why are NBA videos always trash quality rght when they get posted?

    • Mathematical paradox

      February 5, 2023 at 6:22 am

That is part of the technology. It doesn’t happen with just the NBA. The videos need time to be compressed (or decompressed?) and to be cached, etc. Don’t be spoiled, you’re witnessing a game you wouldn’t have been able to just 20 years ago.

    • Juan Herrera

      February 5, 2023 at 10:54 am

Wish it would happen more often, but even in this game, his hands are soft and he is not aggressive. It was a good game against a bad team. He fades hard when playing against good teams that have a good/great big man in the middle. He has fallen in love with a mid-range jumper. I don’t see a desire to drive and be physical, unless he is wide open underneath. Wonder what a trade for him and Kyrie look like? Maybe throw in Payne, Crowder and Shamet? There are plenty of Suns Centers that can handle the work load and are more physical than Ayton. Just wondering.

    • Erik LeTendre

      February 5, 2023 at 12:44 pm

@Juan Herrera nah man. Landale and Biyombo are solid backups at best imo. Biyombo is a great shot blocker but also quite slow, and he can barely score unless its a dunk. Landale is often a defensive liability entirely, but can score in flurries at times. Ayton’s mid range is good enough to be relied on heavily, especially when he’s on. He has knocked 5-6 down in a row before. My only gripe with him is agreeably what you state, “aggressiveness”. Especially when his shot is off, he hasn’t shown the ability to make adjustments to get to the line often, get easier shots, etc. it’s lovely when he’s on, and headscratching when he’s off. He’s still young and having two extremely ball dominant guards in Kyrie and Booker would be tough without an above average center.

Trading Cam Johnson + Crowder + others and picks would bear the best possible deal for someone decent. But playing small ball won’t work in the long run.

    • Michael Lockhart

      February 5, 2023 at 1:36 pm

@Erik LeTendre it’s tough trading Cam but contract wise it’s the best time to trade him. He’s very good but maybe injury prone, or a future All star. It’s tough.
