This whole situation reminds me of the Boondocks where Tom let Riley join his basketball team and gave him way too much power 😂😂😂

The GM has done an excellent job – so good that Durant picked to play for the Nets

Honestly you can give someone everything they want and they’re still not happy. Kd is very entitled and its wack. I cant respect that fact that he wants to leave when he put this team together and the nets did everything he wanted.

Did Stephen A Smith… or everyone for that matter, forget that Steve Nash isn’t the first NBA head coach without prior coaching experience? Doc Rivers, Isiah Thomas, Derek Fisher, Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd, Larry Bird, Kevin Mchale.. … Mark Jackson for crying out loud!!!! Why are you whining about Steve Nash, who last time I checked, is one of the 75 greatest players, 2 Time MVP, one of the best passers and leaders to play the game at the highest level, being a first time head coach, without coaching experience. At the end of the day, players have to own up to their responsibility of showing up and staying committed from day 1. This team, as constructed, with KD, Kyrie, Ben Simmons and the rest of the cast.. can actually make a run for the title… everyone has to buy in. EVERYONE

This is not about player Entitlement and assail Steven A. Smith is at it again tearing down another Black man who is forging his own future. The real question is Why would KD sign a 4 year deal and then suddenly turn around and want to leave. We are not getting the full story. The team MUST of lied to KD to the point where the TRUST can not be reestablish and if he has the power to control where he plays he should use it. Than is want any man with the power would do. Steven A should mind his business.

The Nets are what happens when you let the players call the shots. “Me and Kyrie coming, and sign Our boy too (DeAndre). If it dont work out, we just gonna bounce.”

KD is basically a leech. Sucks the money out of an organization but does not even want to fight for a conference title. Stephen A Smith needs to watch our, KD might sent his mom on first take again to fight his battles. Lol

The best thing the nets can do is wait for the best offer. Make Durant play, he signed a contract, honor it.

Stephen A. Smith just basically said that he is talking to Nets management and they are not planning to trade KD this year……

He doesn’t want to be there and that’s the bottom line when it counts … they got swept in the first round fully locked in what makes you believe that they can win the chip when he has clearly stated he don’t wanna be there … call it what you like

The Nets should hold KD and make him play or let him sit out for 4 years. There’s no way I trade him to a team he wants to go to (Phoenix, Miami, Boston) if a trade gets done I’m trading him to Sacramento, Detroit, or Charlotte for a ton of draft picks and their best player. This guy is literally ruining the NBA with his entitlement, he went to GS and ruined the competitive balance. Now he’s ruining player contracts by requesting trades with 4 years left on a deal that he willingly signed up for.

Yeah but that also hurts your own franchise too lmao. Keeping a player who doesn’t want to be there and paying him $50M per year is a waste of your salary cap. Especially if you can get someone like Jaylen Brown and actually rebuild the right way.

Ive seen so many interviews and complaints of guys getting traded and didnt want to. Anyone remember tyrese Haliburton? This idea he owes anyone is a joke. Kd wants out? Trade him. Period. Or give him what he wants. And word is, marks wanted nash, not kd. Which is why he want both of them out. Bad reporting 4 real. They truly control the narrative. Why keep a guy who isnt happy? I wouldn’t.

Like I’ve said KD and Kyrie are the most miserable champions I’ve ever seen they deserve to be together if I’m the owner you two are married to each other till I say your not period them 2 are head cases

The Nets didn’t just take care of these dudes, they even bought KD and Kylie’s girlfriends houses smh. How much more do they need!?

Players should form their own league. ESP if they get locked out. Fans vote for 30 most popular players and those players draft their teams. Doncic should have signed that qualifying offer after it took so long for mavs to get rid of bob voulgaris and Rick Carlise. (Doncic did not sign that extension right away). Giannis shouldn’t have signed his extension. After winning bucks their 1st championship since Kareem and they still disrespect him. Let PJ tucker leave for nothing. Bucks had his bird rights can sign him over the cap. Without Middleton, tucker would have filled a need. Giannis should really go to Chicago. Giannis signed his extension late in that summer.

    August 18, 2022 at 10:29 am

The Nets have the power. This why you don’t sign extensions during the season. KD played himself. He saw everything that was going on around the Nets and he still decided to sign that extension when he did. He played himself.
