That paul George comment should put things in context. Stars will ask FOs to yeet everything for the chance at a run and the run goes poorly and everyone acts like the FO then made a mistake by doing what the stars and the media begs every team to do.

I’ve always said you will always see the best of the Warriors in the post-season. Im pretty sure they will rally and go on a run in the playoffs. They just gotta focus on making it and then going from there.

Curry is class personified.. He doesn’t want to ruin the Organization he built, the fans who supported him from the beginning, just for a desperate gamble.. Look at Kobe’s last years, they were bad enough to get good young players, Dlo (before he was bad lol) Ingram, Julius Randal, Lonzo Ball etc, Kobe helped mentor them on his way out.. Then all of that was traded because Bron forced it playing GM and wanted AD (fair enough) and then their whole future in Westbrick… Curry doing NONE of that, knows he still has a tiny chance in the next 3 or 4 years as the 1st or 2nd option because no way OKC is able to pay all their young talent, and neither will Boston in the next 2 or 3 years.. And even if he never wins another ring, he’s secure in his legacy as someone overlooked his whole career to someone winning 4 rings and an Olympic medal in superstar fashion.. Absolute Goat and class mentality.

Steph is only saying this to keep the team chemistry and a sense of leadership in the locker room. Vets like wiggins and hield do not hold the same respect level as steph and draymond, so someone has to hold this team together. The warriors need to focus on the Chicago bulls, who have been dangling vucevic and lavine in trade talks since the off season. Giving up wiggins, moody, looney, hield and a few 1sts is the only way to acquire those two.

If Lebron said this they’d be on his head! “He doesn’t want to win! He’s stat padding! He’s only in LA for Hollywood! He’s not a real Laker! KOBE WOULD NEVER SAY THIS!! LEBUM!!” This is commendable under most circumstances but lame for a competitor at the same time especially for someone of Curry’s stature and ability.
