i think the spurs have the talent to be pretty good this year. i just feel like this preseason should be about finding out what we really, really have in guys like luka semanic and devin vassell. there is talent there, but we just haven’t probed enough to see it at full capacity. honestly, that’s been the case with all of our young guys—especially dejounte and lonnie. it feels like we have something legit to build on, but when i watch some of the personnel moves that brian wright has made it’s like, “what are you doing?” as great as it was having timmy, tony and manu and all the success they brought to the franchise, i think having them for so long has kind of spoiled the front office. we been successful with them for so long, it’s almost like we’ve forgotten/or don’t know how to find our way back on the that path. we have some really good young pieces…really good. but the time and investment into their development just hasn’t been there. dejounte is going into his 5th or 6th year and he’s still “developing.” why? so, to see mcdermott in the starting lineup just isn’t a good sign. not at all.

Just wait in about 3 more years if they stay together we will be one of the best defensive teams all the super stars will be gone or on there way out!!! And we will be in our prime 👍

I know Gregg Pop knows what he’s doing but putting Landel and Primo in the last quarter with 7 mins left and down by 17 pissed me off so bad!😡😡😤 He should have played them earlier in the game

He’s planning for a season, not developing. That’s what the summer is for. He’s checking different lineups, depth, ect. We know what we have in Primo, a super talented project. Landel is basically Drew Eubanks skill set, hes a talented big and is going to make the roster regardless. What we don’t know is how different lineups react to NBA level competition. Don’t get upset bro, they’ll both get their time.
