SGA also takes more shots and has a lower FG % than Jokic
Jokic also dwarfs him in rebounds and assists. Tied in steals and has a higher impact player estimate.
Jokic is averaging nearly a 30 point triple double while being top 3 in points, rebounds, assists and steals. Nobody has EVER done that in NBA history.

@@JackSmith-b8m SGA leads all PGs in FG%. Centers always have a higher FG% than any other position. SGA is top in 5 Def Rating and 1st in Def win shares. Steals are a empty stat line.

Man this dude is BALLING!! But what’s crazy is he’s an underrated playmaker/facilitator. Solid vision & knows when to give up the rock. He’s been on a heater since the 2022-23 season. Only 26 years old, like a year away from being in his peak years as a hooper. Don’t care if he doesn’t win the MVP, he’s a superstar and a top 5 player in the league. His play style is incredible.

Probably the greatest big man to ever play the game, is having the best season in NBA history, 3rd in PPG, 3rd in RPG, 2nd in APG, 2nd in SPG, top 10 true shooting, 1st in player impact estimate, the most lethal 3 point shooter of any big ever, whilst not evening being in the top 25 in usage rating in the league. The Nuggets are statistically a bottom 5 team in the league when Jokic is not on the floor and is top 5 when he is, yet, this man will still lose the MVP award to SGA because SGA is having one of the best seasons of any guard, of any team, ever. The NBA is just too talent packed to complain

I know how hard core Jokic fans is, but can we appreciate SGA for what he delivere to his team? Don’t get me wrong, Jokic is a tremendous player and multiple NBA record achievements. But if we look at this season for MVP. SGA still got the Odds to win the Award. Jokic misses his last 5 games, while SGA putting some good numbers when Jokic is not playing. The reg. season is about to end, every last game is so important and Jokic misses that game. And also OKC is now in 60game win. While the Nuggets does not reach 50game win.

The MVP race discourse is hurting the league, honestly. NBA fans should be loving both SGA & Jokic , not trying to tear the other one down. This is such an excellent year in terms of basketball excellence. SGA & Jokic both deserve appreciation for what they are doing nightly. I love them both.
I’ve argued that you can do Co-MVPs this year, which has been done in multiple sports, including the NFL twice (1997 & 2003). Both players can win MVP; it’s not like it’s the Highlander, where there can only be one.

I love Jokic, one of the greatest of all time. One of the most efficient basketball players ever, if not the most. But I just think you gotta do some serious mental gymnastics to try and say SGA doesn’t deserve the MVP this year. His stats are just incredible. He is on the best team in the league. That is cut and dry MVP right there, thats how its always been. If the best player in the league is on the best team in the league thats who wins MVP.
