…i want the spurs to tank and lose a lot of games…but all the time they lose i get mad…i don’t see a player that could be an elite player on the spurs roster…like a david robinson tim duncan or kawhi…i don’t even see a player that could be a tony parker or manu…all i see is a lot of sean elliots good role players that could be good next to an elite type player…with lamarcus out white dejounte or even Walker need to step up and they haven’t even demar with L.A. out demar has to be averaging 25+ppg…i would trade both of them and get what ever i can for both of them…arron gordan and mo Bamba for demar…L.A. for davis bertans…but i think if pop is still the coach next season we’ll have the same roster and our first round pick will play for the austin spurs and luka keldon will only play garbage minutes and metu would have a breakout year on another team

When Derozan had that 25ppg in 50+% fg his teammates where on slump, now Lyles, Mills and others hitting their shots he is struggling. Recently after his back injury he said he feels better than ever. Now he is struggling. It is just 2 games but he needs to step up most especially Lyles is heating up.

His name is Greg Popovich. When he brought in LMAldridge as a FA from Portland he promised getting him a ring. Pop thought LMA was a duplicate of Tim Duncan. Wasn’t a fit. Changed the offense to fit LMA (away from the ‘Beautiful Game’ of 2014-15, away from Kawhi). Extended LMA’s contract. Kawhi tried to recruit Paul George from Indiana. Spurs did not offer Indiana enough for PG, meaning not offering LMA. So Kawhi flies. Manu retires. 2yrs ago, Pop puts DJMurray as a starter over Parker (record was 30-17). Went 17-18 the rest of the year. Spurs 45-37 last year w/out Murray (injured all year). Pop’s hatred for the 3-pointer made Bertans his 1st choice to trade out for a spot for MMorris. Morris rescinds. Pop pouts every time another team beats him w/the 3-pointer. Belinelli holds a roster spot. Pop never fires up his team by getting ejected as he’s too afraid to let Hammon coach. Pop has become as soft as he is stubborn. He’s too interested in drinking wine & calling out the president.

@Lynn Zick couldn’t have said it any better plus the way the roster was orchestrated when Kawhi was still there who in their right minds would over pay an aging Pau Gasol and Dejounte was still developing, as much as I like Mills comin off the bench and providing that veteran leadership but ya have to wonder why they offered him a new deal instead of retaining Jonathan Simmons whose now back in the G league… Demar sure is a downgrade in that trade, Poeltl is alright , have yet to see what Keldon n Luka can offer in the coming yrs … I don’t think Pop retires after this season

Spurs should’ve never traded for Defrozen he’s overrated he is a choker he can’t play defense and he’s a mid range scorer that can’t shoot 3s in today’s nba that is dominated from the 3 point line

The 2 techs were costly when it came to the end. Pop should be the one getting techs. He used to use the tactic to get his point across, fire up the team. But where is he? Moping, sitting on the sideline, scared to get just one tech so not to be ejected. Scared to leave it in the hands of Hammon or Duncan. Why have them as his assistants if there’s no trust, belief that they can coach? Chauvinism when it comes to Hammon, IMO. She’s been around too long on that bench not to be a Pop disciple & coach his way in his stead. Pop should have gotten in DeRozan’s face, fire him up, or get on the team for their lazy passes.

This team may not be making it to the playoffs but at least the Spurs is learning to fight back and catch up. That is still a big improvement considering that a lot of the players are new. Hopefully, they could get a dominant center next season. I think that is what they lack.

Popovich has not adapted to the current NBA. His style of play is not going to win in today’s game. Time to retire.

Spurs team was really good last year. They just expected more from Murry and Bertas they traded to Wizards he was a great 3 point shooter who helped the Spurs a lot. They need him back.
