We’re witnessing someone who has, literally, mastered his game. There is no aspect, including defense at this point, that he isn’t just the best all-around player in the world and by a lot. You think I’m off base with the defense? Note rebounds is a defensive statistic. Also note, where he ranks against Centers on steals. Deflections, etc. Then there is the simple ‘eye test’ of watching him disrupt other team’s offensive action. Does anyone even argue any longer that he is the best passing and play-making Center of all time, and that, again, it isn’t even really close? You name all the great distributing Centers and his numbers are just mind-numbing per 48 minutes in comparison. He shoots threes like a HoF shooter at this point. His mid-range is like Timmy Duncan conversation of deadly weapon. His ability to shoot while guarded is Dirk Nowitzki level weapon. His ability to create on the move with the basketball is Larry Bird, Magic, etc. type of HoF level. I know the Nuggets aren’t really ranked very high at the moment in the Western Conference, but watching these last two games and his overall numbers and I just can’t see an argument that holds water as to why he isn’t the MVP for this season at this point.

I think the mere fact you get to play with the Joker energizes everyone. Westbrook must feel reborn. He plays with so much energy and he knows if somebody cuts to the hole he will hit them. The Joker is probably getting 10 more points a game with Westbrook on the floor with him. Shout out to Porter, that man can flat out shoot the rock!!!

Last night was my first ever live NBA game that I’ve been to, and Jokic did not disappoint! That nearly half court shot before halftime summed up this game in a nutshell. He got that 48 and made it look so darn easy. I’d also like to point out that Westbrook has an undeniable love for the game, and was interacting with fans and coaching up the second unit when he was not on the floor.
