I think people need to realise that at the end of the day the nba is an entertainment industry. Almost like a never ending tv series, they need to have ‘main characters’ and this ultimately means they are always pushing new stars to take on that role. This is why Ja Morants dunk which wasn’t that impressive compare to GP2 and Brown is put higher and why Ja is focused so much in media in general.
GP2’s poster dunk was DEF better than Ja’s alley oop. That was just a standard, fast break alley oop dunk… with a wide open lane, no defense. GP had to rise and throw it down over Bane, who’s a bigger dude. Much more impressive.
You could even argue that it was the top play, but I understand having Giannis off the backboard as number 1.
