We absolutely DO NOT need an All-Star game this year. Most of the players fans want to see don’t even want to play because of all the quarantine rules. This is clearly a bottom line decision and nothing more (besides the usual major distraction). Will be interesting to see how they monetize this.

Expect the main all-star game to have the same intensity as an off-season shootaround for the stars. If most of the players aren’t mentally in the game, expect them to protect their legs and their health. Like, 50% more logo shots, maybe 80% uncontested threes, and maybe a few attempts at bottle-flipping at the sidelines.
I mean, if I were them, I’d show up and play a bit, maybe get 10-15 points then ask the coach to sub me out.

Its probably the first time I hear Adam Silver struggle to speak with confidence… Because we all know it is about money, and to be honest, I am not a fan of all star games in general. The one last year was great, but it was dead for so many years .
