I miss the old NBA…..nobody even play defense. It looks like an exhibition of how to play a game called basketball. I guess is just a business now with the benefactors being the gamblers.

I disagree, i just think the offense these days are just too good for a defense to catch up. Plus, the nba rules seem to favor offense over defense so that also makes playing defense harder today. Like you need to do twice the dirty work on the defensive end today compared to the 90s
@ No, I’m a regular dude. I just grew up at a different time I guess. I watched and was entertained by really world-class basketball when high salaries, managed referees, gambler influenced, hype-mediocrity wasn’t the “norm”; and no ‘restrictive defenses’ and 3-point shooting like a ‘stage play’. Grew up in the 1950s and appreciated watching Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, Wilt, Earl Monroe, and really great Boston Teams; Philadelphia Teams; Outstanding Laker Teams that were like greyhounds….and pre-Pippin Bulls’ Teams with MJ ‘before’ they ever won ‘one’ Championship….7 years!!! REAL PLAYERS! Havlicek, Bill Russell, dr J, and on and on. Growing up in the Projects in Chicago gives you a true ‘eye’ for good basketball….and today’s NBA couldn’t beat some of those gangbangers back then on our ‘pickup games’. I know that ‘that’ ERA is gone and 90% of basketball lovers have no clue at how good the games and players were back then. So forgive me if I need to watch my mouth. I mean no disrespect. It’s a ‘business’ now!… and controlled like an exhibition and like a ‘play’ running up and down the Court.
