I’ve long been a huge fan of Klay. I said for years that he’s the perfect player. When he was healthy, he could defend as well as any player in the league (given his size), could score as well as any player in the league, and was a great low-maintenance teammate and really chill dude. Klay is still one of the my Top 5 favorite active players. As a GSW fan, it’s painful to watch him play for another team, especially with Luka who has slowly become the kind of diva player I can’t stand BUT I can’t help but be happy for Klay. He seems happy again and as a fan of the player, I don’t want anything less for him.
Klay is in a great position. He gets to stand and shoot while Klay and Irvine draw the doubles. Easy street cherry picking. This team is perfectly positioned to maximize Klays ability. Klay was a gold mine for a big man team and teaming up with the Mavs is huge!! The Mavs are going to destroy Golden State this year.
