There are 42 million people who are Black in the US, so to the person who asked how often this happens off camera, I would guess it happens (in one way or another) 42 million times a day; as a racist nation, it never stops!

Fred Vanfleet said the realest stuff. I appreciate how he realizes how for most of us Americans don’t have the privilege or platform to fight injustice.

I’m tired of hearing, “these are the people who are supposed to protect and serve”. It just isn’t true. The Supreme Court ruled years ago that the police have no constitutional duty to protect citizens. As for the “serve” part, we all know that is a complete joke.
Citizens need to stop looking at cops as if their job is to protect and serve. Their job is to fine and arrest. Their primary responsibility at this point is to generate revenue for the department and city. Don’t look to them for help. Always be suspicious of their intentions. Always record interactions with them. Don’t answer questions you aren’t legally obligated to answer. Protect yourself because they won’t.

every single thing in the officer claims happened to him, is a pure lie, and if he stated in court, he should be charged for perjury.
Obvious from the beginning, claimed he had a concussion is severe neck and head injuries, yet he stood there yapping on and on after the push.
one would think your hands would move to the injured spot, I think a concussion would mean, he stopped functioning. this officer must be charged and at the very least dismissed because his word in court will be worth s*** forever.
if anyone was conducted when this officer was involved, you can bet they are filing an appeal right now. that means some innocent people might go free, and it means some guilty people will go free, that’s what happens when you let an a****** be a cop.

Masai does seem to have a bad attitude though. He walks around like he’s a king and it bothers me.

For some… Absolute power… Absolutely corrupts….. The police departments are in fact an Oligarchy…. no vetting process. .. you know somebody’s dad or brother… you’re in… and now you can do what you want without being checked.

First, that guy hasn’t worked in a year. I guess after the altercation, he was never called back. And he was convicted of insurance fraud previously. I believe he served 3 months. In fact in one attempt at joining a police force, he was turned down because of his past. This case is going to be thrown out and I believe the Raptors president will walk away with some win in his counter suit. And rightly so.

You can clearly see Masai did not noticed the guard, he was pulling his id to show someone else further on his path. That’s why he looks confused when shoved the first time. The guard should have stopped him with no push and make him know he is the sec guard. There is no call for the push.
