Kawhi Leonard did not go to practice on Wednesday but rather met with reporters and said that he is gaining ground to come back to the court and might want to complete his career as a San Antonio Spur, as indicated by Michael C. Wright of ESPN.com
Kawhi Leonard included that he doesn’t have a set date for his arrival. He stays in correspondence with the team about his movement.
As indicated by Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News, Kawhi Leonard was asked whether he might want to complete his profession as a Spur to which he reacted, “Yeah, for sure.”
Leonard has been nursing the right quad injury that has him sidelined all season. He has been in New York City counseling with a doctor about his injury. He has been cleared to return yet Leonard has chosen against playing because of the distress of the injury.
Head coach Gregg Popovich has said that he would be “shocked” if Kawhi Leonard came back this season.
