People need to remember that SAS and his show is closer to a comedy skit than it is actual basketball analysis. He’s closer to being a comedian than a real basketball analyst. Can’t say I’m not jealous though. Bro gets paid to be a professional yapper.

A project player like Giannis could NEVER be an underachiever. They took a HUGE risk drafting Giannis. He didn’t even play in the best league in Greece when he was drafted. And even after he was drafted they had to have intense development to get him where he is. Dude was skin and bones and built solely for the era he drafted in. The fact that he even became a starter let alone MVP and champion cements his legacy as an OVERACHIEVER !

If he only gets one title he has underachieved!! Just like Joker!! Not rocket science!! Great players, have high expectations!! 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

No, not really. If they both dominated their rookie season and proved they were simply overlooked, then sure. But both Giannis and Jokic needed time to truly develop. Giannis was a raw “project” pick, and Jokic had to work to establish himself over a legitimate player like Nurkic. Many players need time, but very few turn into back-to-back MVPs or champions. Those guys clearly overachieved. “Great players” were usually expected to be great. That doesn’t apply to them. You can’t wait until the beat the odds and then say they underachieved.

SAS, as a Knick’s fan, should know very well what underachieving looks like and it’ not Giannis. Over 50 years without an NBA title is the very definition of underachieving.

He’s still in the league though. He has many years to do more so this argument is invalid

This championship talk has ruined basketball FOREVER.. No other sport you have to win multiple championships to be the best.. So in a 15-20 year span mathematically how is it possible for Ant, Luka, Jokic, SGA, Tatum, Giannis and others to win 5 to 6 championships? And when they don’t, they’re not better than players who played in an easier era? Dumb talk

You can’t compare Gianni’s championship with KD Championship iykyk…

The only thing that stopped Giannis from winning a championship is a whole bunch of players 😂😂😂. What Jay is saying is from the seat that you sit in, you should be only talking about his greatness and not downplaying it. Stephen A goes immediately to football (which is a totally different sport) let’s you know everything. Why he didn’t bring up other basketball players who stopped Giannis from winning it all? Instead of just saying “I understand and you’re right” he kept digging deeper and deeper with more asinine statements. Allen Iverson played how long? He only made the finals once! So how Kobe and Shaq the only ones stopped him from winning titles? Stop it! Get some help!
