People tend to be freer (it seems) to express their humanity in “third world” countries.

comment aged very well. Embiid doing so much just to win mvp and the award is going to the deserving person Jokic

    Giannis
    Jokic
    Lebron
    Embid

I wonder why people don’t respect him the way they do Giannis. Both came from nothing and worked their way to the top. Both humble and give back…but all people focus on is Embiids faults.

@Will Williams I agreed. He’s my MVP and he absolutely deserves respect. Another reason people don’t respect him is because of the process and those dark years

People are still mad at Joel for not playing the “hungry meek African kid begging for a square meal”.

Joel is very humble but he’s also very competitive and smarter than most people in the basketball space. He wasn’t afraid to show his competitive side and ruthlessly exposed a lot of people’s favorite players on the court and then took it to social media, where he showed he was smarter than a lot of people.

Basketball fans are tribal. Everyone has their team and players they love. It pisses them off when their stars get exposed and the offender then takes it to socials and belittles them.

That rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and they still won’t let it go. After that it just becomes like a bad rumor that sticks around and people just keep saying it without knowing where it came from. They refuse to see who Joel is away from competition.

And the funny thing is he even predicted that he would become hated. As far as basketball is concerned he still hasn’t reached his peak. That too is intimidating to opposing fan bases who love their own stars.

There are many ways of showing respect, BTW. People hating on you is a form of respect. Every video with Joel, you see Giannis and Jokic fans being insecure in the comments.

      That’s a sign of respect.

When you look at his Twitter, he got no problem being the “bad guy”, peoples are just insecure about that.

That’s what a real MVP does, him and giannis. They both care about the people

      April 14, 2023 at 6:12 pm

Lol what about jokic too 🀣 jokic gives away tons of money for scholarships to kids for college. Has his own basketball program in Serbia for the kids that he pays for too he never talks about any of it so most of its unknown to the media. Real gs move in silence.

And jokic doesn’t do this stuff 🀑🀣 racist ass clowns just looking for any reason to hate whitey now

      @Beede Bawng cry about it.

    • GOAT James

      April 14, 2023 at 3:48 pm

@qweef69 embiid should be 3rd. MVP should go to either giannis or Jokic. they have better impact on team than embiid

    • YvngGoat

      April 14, 2023 at 6:19 pm

I’ll come back to this comment when he wins MVP. You better not run

    • qweef69

      April 14, 2023 at 6:32 pm

@YvngGoat He’s on the #3 team with James harden and a stacked team. Anyone who says he’s MVP is mildly autistic and doesn’t know how to measure value of an individual to a team of players.

Sabonis made the kings snap a 16 year playoff birth ending top 3, all with with a broken hand.

Embids fat ass was collecting free unemployment payments most of the season. 🀣🀣🀣🀣

  16. Almost Awesome

    April 14, 2023 at 11:21 pm

Wow he’s actually trying to get good publicity so he can win instead of crying about β€œI don’t know what else I can do” 🀣 publicity stunt
