I appreciate the mad dog cuz he fights for the old school but dude be losing all credibility when he starts talking X and O’s. He’s all about his old school “feeling”

JJ saying Larry Bird isn’t one of the best 3-point shooters ever is legit the dumbest thing he could say

JJ STOP IT! Curry has REGULARLY CHOKED IN BIG GAMES. Larry Bird Excelled! Now let’s talk about Curry’s non-existent defense and Bird’s far superior defense and pass. LOL.

Larry legend at 24pts,10reb,6asst. Career averages. Steph Curry’s current career averages are 24 pts,5reb,6asst. Curry will never be the all-around player that Larry Bird was👊 fast or slow paced, “Larry Bird made you look stupid” James Worthy👊😁

Mad Dog’s argument is that he remembers the feeling of being there 40 years ago which to him is better evidence than watching it today on YouTube where you can, if you want to, rewind and see a play 100 times to analyze. Not a great take, Mad Dog.

Why do people who never played the game at a high level insist on thinking that they know more than someone who had success at the highest level? Like bruh pipe down

Old heads act like ESPN Classic didn’t exist, and YouTube and Google doesn’t currently. Watch the games from the 70s and 80s yourself. It wasn’t all that more physical aside from the occasional hard foul.

Mad Dog had no leg to stand on and he knew it. He was just having a “get off my lawn” moment.

How someone as a spectator can even argue in this particular situation over someone with lived experience is insanity. ESPN you don’t always have to have people disagree just to disagree. Seeing it live vs watching on a screen isn’t that different Was Mad Dog at every game?

I don’t where is this guya getting the idea of physicality during 80’s with 3 point area, it is merely not use that much way back that time, unlike in the Steph’s revolution era of 3 point shooting, you will see him guarded well beyong 30 ft or most of the times being harassed before he cross half court, Bird is a great shooter but if he will play in today’s 3 point era, I doubt if he will be able to make those shots that easy…Go back to your stats man and be more reasonable with your claims…you are an analyst but you are like not

Lol. That generation needs to die off so we can just get back to recognizing great players for being great. That physicality narrative is old. Was John Stockton some sort of primal animal? He sure survived.

Bird would be a great 3 point shooter in any era he was deadly but he not a better shooter than Steph curry nobody on earth ever has been better than Steph shooting the basketball.

    February 16, 2023 at 7:44 pm

Curry steps across half court and make them easily.Curry changed the game bird did not and I’m from that era nobody f with curry

    1) JJ and others like him whether players or fans need to just accept the fact that the physicality of the game was just more intense than anything in todays game. THAT. IS. FACTS. 2) despite birds numbers the 3pt wasnt the focal point of the game so of course the numbers were down, but he is the father of the dagger 3. he is just different and JJ n company need to stop disrespecting the golden age of basketball

This guy in the middle is a moron anyone who says curry is better than bird is certified insane and just plain idiotic.
