So owners can trade players without notifying them, sometimes players learning they’ve been traded through the internet, but the players can’t demand trades.

Stephen a really love pandering to them espn executive

Argument is that the owners never failed to pay the players so they honor the contract regardless where a said player is played.
Demanding a trade is fine but players also should honor the contract and play.

I agree that a player should be able to ask for a trade, if he’s not happy with his current situation. The part I’m not cool with, is then giving a list of your destinations. If you want out, you have to take what you get.

Well yes they can because they not the owners of the franchise. So yes un a business if your paying some you can move them. Players can decide to leave as well but you have to finish out your contract because the players want to be paid. Besides not just about individual players when your trying run a league or a franchise.

I don’t understand why the NBA is so soft about it. Soccer players are worth way more and they treated as real assets. Whoever wants them just pay the asking price and take them and what they mean. Players can ask things just never think their equal to the guy who writes the check for them… Regardless of how good you are as a player, you’ll end up having to retire before that owner even feels the need to sell the franchise. They are really just really well paid employees. Now, they need to bring the money they are worth .. it’s a business after all. So yeh, owners can move you around cuz they own you as an asset.

Shot out to Dame and Bradley Beal coming to work….pissed more then likely 😂 but they come to work and do their job with no side tracks other then a scream from time to time ‘HELP’ but then the company pays them 😂 can’t complain really 🙏🏽

Basically Nets owner Joe Tsai and Sean Marks said to KD 1) you signed a 4 year contract 2) the longer this trade saga drags on, the worse it looks for you KD, cause no one is blaming Nets, all the media is talking about is KD been difficult and requesting the trade when Nets gave him everything. As we all know KD is extremely thin skinned and can’t handle the media pressure along with the bad image this entails, so he decided to stay in Brooklyn.

Those last couple things you said, thin skinned, can’t handle media pressure are false…

Nets will still try to trade these guys. No way those clowns win a title. Spoiled brats. Nets see the weak character and no titles coming. I think trades will still happen. I mean damn…..3 head cases on one team? KD…kyrie…ben? What a circus. They’re going nowhere.

Except kobe demanded a trade in 2007 and he was still under contract. Also durant never missed a game. So contractual obligations are irrelevant. It was all hypothetical.

They’re giving LeBron too much credit for honoring contracts. Nothing impressive about that. All he did was sign short term deals so he could stack the deck with other teams without them having to give up anything. If KD had done a LeBron style contract he could have just left and joined the Suns. It’s easier to stack the deck when you can just leave versus demanding trades. He just did it the smart way.

nothing since there is only 1 kd and most of these players are bums. now you gonna set 1 standard for a generational talent same as all other bums??? you never say that about curry or lagrandpa. its sickening.

Russell Westbrook gives 100% on the half of the game that is offense and only when he has the ball. If weighted by his usage percentage of 27.3% well give him the benefit of the doubt (100%) and say his overall effort is 27.3% 🤣Defence matters, stop lying to us about his effort level

No the Nets we’re not willing to bend for K.D. or Kyrie for how they have mistreated the organization. If LeBron James ask for a trade right now from the Lakers the trade will be done in a matter of days. This comes down to KD and Kyrie. I believe a player who has been respectful and good to the organization like Rudy Gobert, both sides were willing to make a trade because of the caliber player Rudy is as a person. KD has abused the Nets organization. Shown a lack of respect for the leadership of the organization. It took the owner to set him straight. Kyrie on the other hand is in his last days in the NBA. Best handles or not. No owner or GM wants to take a player who they don’t know will show up to play. Alienates players in the locker room and have personality flaws that cause him to be rude to everyone around him including media.

KD never threatened not to honor his contract…which also is why it didn’t work. (no judgement either way, just clarifying the facts)

Whenever you start to agree with SAS just remember that he’s a mouthpiece for the owners and the corporate league office as a whole. Just close your eyes and picture Uncle Ruckus when SAS talks.
