If the USA won’t send it’s best players you can’t expect them to always win.

Nobody really cares what Greg Popovich thinks anymore. Go back to your arrogant and immature Trump bashing.

This is what happens when all you do is shoot 3’s. Either team can win. Even a bad team can beat a good team if the team that was supposed to win shoots 20% on 3’s.

With the roster that went, to not reach the medal round is one thing, but 7th? That’s inexcusable. Even if you play for the Bronze and lose, you end up 4th. 7th? That’s horrid

Still no excuse for 7th place

This is bull___t. We had two of the best coaches in the World and players who were 1st stringers on basketball teams who world players would give a kidney top play for. Ricky Rubio and Gasol could not even make the American team. We have a tradition of winning, we are expected to win, and we should have won. Our defense was good, we just could not shoot and we kept gunning. That leads to coaching.

Anytime someone has a differing opinion, Pop gets caught in his feelings and makes a personal attack at them. It’s pathetic.

Media now acting like they didn’t criticize the USA team for the way they played. Amin was on this same show saying they lacked shooting, they lacked size, they played too much isolation.

Didn’t lose because of talent we lost cause of iq lack of understanding in a system and fundamentals that the game doesn’t teach in the USA anymore..

Pop is boorish, arrogant, and can be condescending. I also wonder if some players stay away from the national team because of Pop…after all, he alienated Kawhi, c’mon now. And Pop, please dress like a professional because you look like &%#*.

I love how these people are making excuses for the players just to get some interviews in the future. The truth is, Team USA sucked.. so stop making excuses for them.. they better get it together cause the world is about to beat on USA in the olympics too.

Pop dropped the ball simple as that, the offense looked horrid and their defense was worse, should have ran the ball instead of playing half court at such a slow pace, everything they did was predictable on offense, the pace was way too slow, and him calling people immature is hilarious, don’t be a sore loser, and they had the nerve to spit in melo’s face

If any other coach took them to 7th place (regardless of players) and then made this statement they would have been criticized like crazy. I mean Coach K did a great job, helped bring USA back to prominence (after some down years), won a gold medal and he was criticized for not winning by enough points. Of course the talent level was different on the team, but 7th place is terrible. Just seems ridiculous to me…

I think even the best USA team is still not dominant as arrogant, LeBron is old he is still one off best I got it, you hav a to put 5 guys on floor some off them can’t play together, I just don’t understand haw people don’t wanna admit it, LeBron and harden and carry on some team they all not good defensive naw it’s not LeBron 6 years ago. It’s not best player it’s best team chemistry. Serbia and Spain is still tough opponent to the very best team if also they play with there very best players.

It was a total joke how none of the top players would play. It wasn’t just the very best players. It was even the second and third tier players.
